Four teams battled it out in the Semi-Finals of the Muskoka Basketball League and four teams fought for overall team rankings. In the Semi-Finals, the #5 seed Clear Lake Brewing Company Knocked off the #1 seed Boone Plumbing Ballers 70-60 and the #2 seed Huntsville Hurricanes beat the #3 seed Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial 73-61. Setting up a Finals game between the Huntsville Hurricanes and Clear Lake Brewing Company.
In the other games the #8 seed Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves upset the #4 seed Family Place Restaurant and Pizza 98-77 and the #7 seed Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder won by forfeit over the #6 seed Fike Masonry.
The Finals will be played on Monday April 28th at 7:30 in the Gravenhurst High School gym. Bring your family and friends out to watch some local basketball action.
Next Monday we are off for the Easter Holiday.
In the first round of playoff action from the MBL, the #1 seed Boone Plumbing Ballers defeated the #8 seed Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 76-56, the #2 seed Huntsville Hurricanes cruised past the #7 seed Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder 104-78, the #3 seed Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial beat the #6 seed Fike Masonry 78-71 and the #5 seed Clear Lake Brewing Company knocked of the #4 seed Family Place Restaurant and Pizza 72-62. In the last night of the regular season from the MLB, the Boone Plumbing Ballers bounced the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 82-65 to secure the #1 seed for the playoffs. The Huntsville Hurricanes breezed by Fike Masonry to win 92-66 and are the #2 seed. The Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial lost to Family Place Restaurant and Pizza 92-88 but still locked in the #3 seed with Family Place as the 4th seed. Clear Lake Brewing Company beat the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder 77-64. The playoffs start on Monday March 17th, the schedule is up on the website. There are no games this Monday over the March break.
Here are the results from week 13 of the Muskoka Basketball League, the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves fought tooth and nail for their first win of the of the season by defeating Fike Masonry 69-68, the shorthanded Boone Plumbing Ballers lost their first game of the season in a shootout with the Huntsville Hurricanes 107-86, the Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial came back to win over Clear Lake Brewing Company 76-71 and Family Place Restaurant and Pizza held on to win against the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder 73-67.
In week 12 action from the MBL, the Boone Plumbing Ballers improved to 12-0 with a 72-57 win over the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder, the Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial squeaked out a 71-69 win over Fike Masonry, Clear Lake Brewing Company outpaced the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 65-51 and the Huntsville Hurricanes overwhelmed Family Place Restaurant and Pizza to win 81-69.

After 2 weeks off from snowmageddon 2024 the Muskoka Basketball League resumed it”s season on Monday night. From the Huntsville High School Gym, the Huntsville Hurricanes topped the Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial 83-59 and Clear lake Brewing Company prevailed against Family Place Restaurant and Pizza 70-64. In the Gravenhurst High School Gym the Boone Plumbing Ballers found a way to edge past Fike Masonry and stay undefeated by a score of 61-59 and the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder crushed the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 97-67. In Huntsville the Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial outlasted the Huntsville Hurricanes to win 80-73 and Fike Masonry got their first win of the season beating the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder 88-80.

In Gravenhurst the Boone Plumbing Ballers stayed undefeated by outlasting the Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial in a low scoring 47-41 game, and Clear Lake Brewing Company topped the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 67-60.

In Huntsville, the Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial dominated Family Place Restaurant and Pizza 84-50 and the Huntsville Hurricanes outlasted Clear Lake Brewing Company 69-62. In Gravenhurst, the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder squeaked by the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves 82-79 and the Boone Plumbing Ballers crushed Fike Masonry 78-60.

From the Huntsville High School Gym the Boone Plumbing Ballers held off the Bracebridge Medical Centre Thunder to win 64-56 and the Raptors 705 Unity Group Financial ran circles around the Rosseau Lake College Timberwolves to win 63-43.
In the Gravenhurst High School gym the Huntsville Hurricanes overpowered Family Place Restaurant and Pizza to win 88-71 and in double overtime Clear lake Brewing Company walked off Fike Masonry on a last second shot to win 63-60.
