Jonathan Romano, 33, has been fined and prohibited from driving for one year after pleading guilty in a Bracebridge courtroom to operating a vehicle with over 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
Court heard the incident took place on July 4, 2025, at roughly 7:07 p.m. in the Township of Muskoka Lakes. Bracebridge OPP had received two calls reporting a pickup truck in the ditch on Highway 141 near Luckey Road.
When officers arrived, Romano was located nearby and admitted to having consumed alcohol. Subsequent breath tests registered readings of 175 mg — more than twice the legal limit.Romano was sentenced to a $2,000 fine and a one-year driving ban.
