Muskoka man convicted of having too much marijuana

A Muskoka man recently pled guilty to having more than the legal limit of marijuana in his possession, during a court appearance in Bracebridge.

Jesse Lampman, 31, was convicted of possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking.

Court heard that on Aug. 6, 2020 at roughly 1 am, police observed Lampman driving a vehicle at excessive speed.

When pulled over, the police smelled marijuana and ultimately found 83.2 g of marijuana in the car, along with tools used for distribution and a small amount of cocaine.

Court heard the maximum amount of marijuana for personal possession is 30 grams.

Lampman was sentenced to a $500 fine and 12 months probation.
