Muskoka photographers turn the lens on Algonquin Park

Three of Muskoka’s most accomplished photographers are set to put on a visual showcase of  Canada’s oldest provincial park.

From Feb. 24 until March 11, 2023 the work of local photographers Jane Spencer, Larry Carroll and Richard Mann will be featured as part of The Soul of Algonquin Exhibition at the Chapel Gallery in Bracebridge.

The show is being presented by Muskoka Arts and Crafts and begins with an opening reception on February 24 between 4-7 pm. The free event includes snacks and bar by donation.

All three exhibitors are accomplished photographic artists residing full time in Muskoka, who over the years have spent countless hours and days traversing Algonquin Park, creating a body of work exploring, in its essence from fora and fauna, from sunrise through sunset and into the starry night sky, composing images that reflect the pure splendour and soul of Algonquin through their own creative and imaginative style.

Each journey has resulted in a treasure of reflections capturing the serenity of backcountry forest trails, kayaking rivers, lakes and streams photographing the majesty of the great creatures, big and small, that inhabit the special and historic place, Canada’s oldest Provincial park, Algonquin Provincial Park.
