From the Muskoka Shoebox Project:
On behalf of the Muskoka Shoebox Project for Women, we are so pleased to share that for our 2022 Holiday campaign and the eighth year running, we were able to deliver 1,159 Shoebox gifts, to 15 agencies helping Women in our community.
We are so very grateful for the financial assistance provided by local service groups, small businesses, the District of Muskoka, and the retailers who donated product and individual community members who knit beautiful hats, mittens and slippers and those individuals who donated so generously to help us deliver so abundantly.”
Our shoebox elves worked tirelessly to check, wrap, touch up and ribbon the boxes. They are respectful of the task and were diligent in their commitment to see it through, all with a smile. Those that help with pickup and deliveries ensure the boxes still have glitter and a ribbon. There is always lots of glitter.
Most importantly, we thank our shoebox donors. Without you, the Muskoka Shoebox Project simply would not be. Employee, social groups and friends who held parties, each and every box matters — thank you for your involvement, as always you drive these campaigns.
We also thank the drop-off locations for their involvement in collecting the shoeboxes.
The unique charm of the Muskoka Shoebox Project for Women is how it gathers our community’s efforts together for the needs of others. Our community certainly rose to the occasion once again this year.
To the recipients, it is our hope that these gifts bring a smile this Christmas, as well as a belief in yourself and hope for the future.
A very special thank you to the agencies who work with the women all year long to make a difference in their lives.
