She only needed one goal in the final match of the year to win the Huronia District Soccer League (HDSL) U16 Girls division scoring title!
Andi Stevenson netted her 20th goal of the year in a 2-1 win against Barrie on Monday, September 9 to win the Golden Boot for top scorer in the league. She had been tied at 19 with a player from Collingwood going into the final match of the year.
Violet Perera scored the other Muskoka goal in the victory.
Even more impressive is that Stevenson and her teammates are a U15 team who played in an older division.
It was a great end to a fun season for the team, which also won the HDSL Cup a few weeks ago.
Other HDSL Results
Most Huronia District Soccer League teams from Muskoka have finished their seasons with a couple more still competing.

The U11 Girls had a bye week last week and finished their year with a September 8 match on the road against Collingwood.

MUFC Banquet and Awards Night
The inaugural Muskoka United Football Club (MUFC) appreciation banquet was held on September 6 at Tawingo College.
There were 453 people in attendance including players, coaches, team managers, the club board, and many well-wishing parents and grandparents.
The banquet, which will be an annual event, was a way to celebrate the incredible growth of the club and some excellent results from the past season (all of which were documented in Doppler’s weekly reports).
Highlights from the evening included individual awards being given to a player from each team, and four community awards – each honouring the legacy of a specific coach and builder in the Muskoka soccer world.
