It’s election day in Muskoka in Muskoka and there’s still time to make your voice heard if you haven’t yet.
Voters can cast their ballot until 8 pm October 24, 2022 by Internet or Telephone (only).
There is still time for the numbers to change significantly but judging by the available statistics voter turnout is looking particularly grim this election. In Bracebridge, as of this morning at 9 am, just 27 percent of eligible voters have cast their ballots. Numbers aren’t currently available for Gravenhurst or Muskoka Lakes.
In Bracebridge the Election Help Centre located at the Municipal Office (1000 Taylor Court) is open extended hours leading up to the final day to vote on October 24, 2022.
Electors are encouraged to visit the Election Help Centre if:
• They require in-person assistance voting by internet or phone
• They do not have access to a computer or telephone
• They did not receive a Voter Information Letter in the mail
In Gravenhurst if you wish to vote in-person or require assistance, an Election Help Centre will be located at Town Hall (3-5 Pineridge Gate). On Election Day, the Election Help Centre will be open from 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Call (705) 687-3412 ext. 2232 or email [email protected] if you have any further questions.
In Muskoka Lakes Township The Election Help Centre is located at the Municipal Office Township Hall located at 1 Bailey Street Port Carling. During the voting period, Township Hall will be designated as the Election Help Centre and will be equipped with voting equipment and internet access at kiosk stations. Other municipal locations, such as the Muskoka Lakes Public Library, are available to provide internet access for individuals that do not have access to a computer device and/or internet.
