Muskoka Yarn and Fibrefest this Saturday in Bracebridge

It should be a woolly wonderland this Saturday at the Bracebridge Fairgrounds when the Muskoka Yarn and Fibrefest draws dozens of vendors from across Ontario.

From the festival organizers: Come and join us for a day that showcases the yarn and fibre industry in Ontario. Explore the work of artists who hand-dye yarn and rovings, weave amazing garments and rugs, and create different amazing artistic pieces. It is also a treat to meet farmers who raise different livestock to use their amazing fibre. For both the fibre enthusiast and those who would like to see amazing artisans and farmers. There is something for everyone.

This one-day show will feature the best of fibre arts, from raw fleece to finished objects. We welcome yarn enthusiasts and fibre newcomers alike to this one-of-a-kind event.

The event runs from 10 am until 4 pm. Admission costs are $5 for adults and kids under 12 are free.

The show also features the Felted Sheep Workshop – Birds of a Felter: Join the talented needle felting artist, Catharine Beddall of Birds of a Felter (@Birdsofafelter) as she teaches you how to make this cute little sheep.

The workshop will be 2 hours in length, and promises to be a fun experience where you will learn to make this cute little one.

The workshop is $20 per person.
