On October 30th, 2024, at 12:05 p.m., the Huntsville OPP responded to a disturbance on Old Muskoka Road of a naked male running on the roadway.
The investigation revealed the accused had been acting strangely and became assaultive towards the victim. The victim was struck with an object and physically assaulted as well. The victim was assessed for minor injuries by Muskoka EMS and did not require any further medical attention.
The accused was taken into custody without incident.
Thomas FLETCHER, 34 years old of Huntsville, is charged with:
· Assault Cause Bodily Harm – Choke, suffocate or strangle
· Assault with A Weapon
· Fail to Comply with Probation Order
The accused remains in custody and will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice on October 31, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.
The Huntsville OPP want to advise this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
