Gravenhurst council has given the green light to parking lot improvements at North Morrison Landing.
Following the completion of an environmental assessment, council approved ‘Alternative C’ as the preferred improvement out of the options presented in a report.
Director of Instructure Andrew Stacey said there are currently 19 deeded spots and there has been some conflict with the public using these spaces. The expanded parking lot at the landing will include 25 public parking spaces, 14 deeded spaces and five trailer spaces.
The chosen option will also include a turtle habitat.
“The landing is a “legacy piece of land, it was deeded to the Town in the 60s,” Stacey said.
