Cinephiles and history buffs alike will have something to cheer about later this month when the Norwood Cinema 3 in Bracebridge offers a free screening of the Canadian film Brotherhood – A True Story.
The free screening is being held for National Canadian Film Day at 7:15pm on April 19. This year marks the tenth anniversary of National Canadian Film Day.
Vancouver writer and director Richard Bell’s 2019 feature film Brotherhood chronicles the true story of a band of teenage boys who encounter a freak summer storm when canoeing in the Kawartha Lakes in 1926.
The film stars Brendan Fletcher and Brendan Fehr (British Columbia) with Jake Manley, Sam Ashe Arnold, Gage Munroe, Dylan Everett and Spencer Macpherson (Ontario).
