From the Town of Gravenhurst:
Wanted! A place to rest their heads.
Can you help?
Every summer the Gravenhurst Opera House hosts a series of productions and that means visiting entertainment professionals, including actors and directors, often need a place to stay while in town.
“We are looking for people to billet these individuals,” said Kelly Hamilton, theatre operations supervisor. “We need help in providing affordable accommodation for cast members and other summer theatre personnel. If you are interested in supporting the arts and making a little extra income, we want to hear from you.”
Ideal accommodation will include a bedroom, washroom, and kitchen space so the visiting individuals can prepare their meals.
“This is an amazing opportunity to support some of Canada’s top theatre professionals and help support the continuation of professional summer theatre in town,” Hamilton said.
Accommodation rates are negotiable, but Hamilton suggests $100 to $125 per week as an appropriate fee. The length of stay would range from one to two weeks.
Visiting professionals need a place to stay for the following dates:
- July 21 to Aug. 4
- Aug. 11 to Aug. 18
