The Almaguin OPP is advising that the human remains located in Katrine on May 3, 2024, have been identified as those of a missing 41-year-old person from Emsdale.
On April 9, 2024, the Almaguin Highlands Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began an investigation regarding the whereabouts of a missing Emsale man last seen at his place of work by co-workers.
Foul play has been ruled out.
The OPP would like to thank the public and media for their assistance in this investigation.
