OPP seeks assistance in theft of boats

The Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is seeking the public’s assistance regarding the theft of three boats from the community of Lake of Bays.

On September 6, 2024, the Huntsville OPP received a report that three boats with trailers were stolen from a business on Highway 35 in Lake of Bays. Between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on September 6, 2024, unknown parties in a white pick-up truck stole property described as:

  • Four Winns 20-foot Bowrider, red in colour
  • Glastron 20-foot Bowrider, white in colour
  • Legend 16-foot Pontoon boat, black in colour

The value of the property stolen is estimated over $75,000.

Anyone who was in the area of Highway 60 and Highway 35 between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on September 6, 2024, and saw something suspicious or has any information, dash cam or surveillance video that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the Huntsville OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
