From Northern Elite Osprey president Peter Haynes
We are very pleased to announce that the Northern Elite Osprey will hold its first in person event on Saturday, October 23 at Kerr Park in Bracebridge, Ontario from 9 am to 1 pm. Note: you do not need to attend all four hours if schedules do not permit. Rain Date is Sunday, October 24 at same time.
The Osprey will hold a free four hour skill assessment clinic for players born in 2008 (we may add 2009 players if space permits). The 2008 age group will form the basis of our first team that will be picked in August 2022 and start playing next fall.
The skill assessment clinic is free and will be run by Ryan Davis and Brad Bissell, two baseball development coaches very well known in our Muskoka Hornets community. Brad and Ryan will be assisting with talent assessment and development for the Osprey as the program is in its infant stages and will be running five skill development clinics at the Fieldhouse indoor facility in Orillia following the Skill Assessment day for players born in 2008 that are interested in some additional fall practices and that might play for the Osprey in the future. Space for the indoor clinics is limited to 15 players and cost is $100 in total for the 5 sessions to be held on consecutive Tuesdays starting on Tuesday October 26 from 7 pm to 9 pm each week.
Interested players must register for the clinics and skill assessment day via the Registration tab on the Osprey website at www.ospreybaseball.ca
Note: all players attending the outdoor skill assessment day will receive a complimentary Osprey t shirt.
