Police search for break and enter suspects

The Bracebridge Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating break and enters to businesses that have occurred in the past few days and are requesting assistance from the public.

On November 8th, 2022 at around 5:10 a.m. the front window of a Gravenhurst business was damaged and several valuable items were stolen from the business. Further on November 9, 2022, at 4:40 a.m. a second business in Gravenhurst had the front window damaged and items stolen as a result. It has not been confirmed that the two incidents are related but are being investigated as such given the similar circumstances surrounding both.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or may have seen suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact the Bracebridge OPP to assist in these investigations. We are also reminding everyone to ensure that doors and access points are secure and that valuable items are not stored in plain view of the public to avoid becoming potential victims.

Individuals with information may call the Bracebridge OPP at (888) 310-1122 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. You can submit your information online at https://ontariocrimestoppers.ca. Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display and you will remain anonymous. Being anonymous, you will not testify in court and your information may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.
