Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating an unusual theft in Gravenhurst and asking for the publics assistance in identifying the suspects.
On October 11, 2024, at 10:50 a.m., Bracebridge OPP officers were dispatched to reports of a theft of flowers and a garbage bin that occurred overnight at a business address on Bay Street near Muskoka Road in Gravenhurst. Officers began collecting surveillance footage and determined that two individuals entered the rear of the property with a large bin in hand and they appear to empty the contents of that bin on the ground, including gnomes, and continue their work, ultimately stealing several items, including flowers.
Anyone with information, either identifying the suspects or the gnomes, is asked to call Bracebridge OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, please contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or crimestopperssdm.com.
