Port Carling man charged in theft of charitable auction items

Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one person after investigating the theft of charitable items.

On August 14th, 2024, at 7:15 a.m. Bracebridge OPP officers responded to a complaint from a local quick service restaurant that a man had stolen a quantity of items from a silent auction that they have been hosting to raise funds for charity. Officers conducted an investigation into the theft and have charged 34-year-old Clayton EISAN of Port Carling with the following offenses:

  • Theft Under $5000 CC 334(b)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime CC 354(1)(a) and
  • Breach of Recognizance CC 811.

He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on September 17, 2024 to answer to his charges.
