Prism Theatre In The Park returns to Annie Williams Park this summer with another magical show! Guests will be treated to an outdoor theatre production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Shakespeare’s classic comedy of love triangles, misunderstandings, and fairy mischief.
Performances are set to take place on the park stage, August 8 – 12 and August 15 – 19, beginning at 7 pm.
“This is the company’s first show under a new creative team,” says director David Wray, “and it’s shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects yet. We’ve never had costumes that light up before.” The company last performed A Midsummer Night’s Dream 15 years ago, in the summer of 2008, and some of that cast and crew have kept with the company right through to this year’s performance, which promises to bring the magic of the show to life in ways it’s never been done before.
As usual, guests will bring their own blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy what is becoming a summer tradition in Muskoka, an event that many are especially looking forward to this year. Tickets will be available at the gate. For more information, contact @PrismMuskoka on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, or call 705-644-2831
