Rainfall warning in effect for Muskoka

Rain, at times heavy, is expected for Muskoka tonight and Tuesday, with total amounts of 50 to 60 mm anticipated. Amounts may be higher in areas where thunderstorms are present.

Almaguin will likely also see significant rainfall of 25 to 50 mm.

Showers and isolated thunderstorms will move across the region as a cold front approaches from the west. The precipitation is forecast to end on Tuesday as a cold front moves through.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
