Red Scarf Campaign arrives in Muskoka on Sunday

From Muskoka Pride:

The Gilbert Centre and Muskoka Pride are partnering to recoginze HIV Testing Awareness Week (Nov. 20 – 26 in Canada) World AIDS Day (December 1st worldwide) with the Red Scarf Campaign. Red Scarves will be distributed throughout downtown Gravenhurst, Bracebridge, and Huntsville – tied to lampposts and trees.

World AIDS Day is an international day dedicated to raising  awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection, and mourning those  who have died of the disease. There are over 63,000 people living with HIV in Canada, and  nearly 37 million world-wide. https://www.worldaidsday.org/

The Gilbert Centre provides social and support services to empower,  promote health, and celebrate the lives of people living with and affected by HIV and other  sexually transmitted infections, and the individuals and families from the lesbian, gay, bisexual,  transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) communities of Simcoe County and Muskoka.  https://gilbertcentre.ca/
