A driver who blew triple the legal limit after crashing into a ditch will be spending some time in jail.
Clark McDaniel, 71, of Elora, appeared in a Bracebridge courtroom for sentencing on impaired-driving-related charges.
Court heard that on April 5, 2024, the Huntsville Detachment of the OPP arrested and charged a driver after a report of a vehicle in a ditch.
On that day at approximately 10:15 p.m., police received a report of a single motor vehicle in a ditch on Aspdin Road in the Town of Huntsville.
Police suspected the driver, McDaniel, was under the influence and breathalyser readings came back with 260 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
Court heard that McDaniel has multiple previous convictions for related offences.
He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and a three-year driving ban.
