The 5th Annual Rising Star Student Exhibition, Echoes of Time, opens March 5, 2026, celebrating the creativity, insight, and artistic talent of local high school students from across the region.
The Rising Star exhibition has become a cornerstone event in Muskoka’s arts and culture calendar, providing young artists with a professional platform to share their work and their stories. This year’s theme, Echoes of Time, invited students to capture a memory, moment, or imagined vision personal, present, or reflective that leaves a lasting impression. Through painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, students explore how moments in time shape identity, perspective, and possibility.
“Rising Star is more than an exhibition it is an investment in the cultural future of our community,”says the organization’s Executive Director.“By creating space for youth expression, we strengthen the creative fabric of Muskoka and ensure young voices are valued and heard.”
In addition to providing a professional exhibition experience, the program includes in-class workshops that support students in developing their ideas and preparing their work for display. These workshops, along with the exhibition itself, are made possible through the generous support of community sponsors including Hammond Bus, the Rotary Club of Bracebridge, The District of Muskoka, Stevens’ Independent Grocer, and Martin’s.
