Sapphire Soirée raises $68,000 for South Muskoka Memorial Hospital

From the South Muskoka Hospital Foundation:

The South Muskoka Hospital Foundation is proud to share the success of its Sapphire Soirée: Celebrating 45 Years of Care, presented by RBC on August 21, 2025, held at the Leon’s Auditorium in the Muskoka Lumber Community Centre.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees, sponsors, and donors, the event raised an incredible $68,000 to support life-saving equipment, innovative technology, and education for healthcare professionals at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.

The evening brought together business and community leaders for an unforgettable experience. In addition to enjoying a specially curated five-course dinner and live music, guests received two inspiring messages from South Muskoka Hospital physicians Dr. Luke Wu and Dr. Alex Webb on the impact donors have on their ability to provide care.

“This milestone event was more than a celebration of our 45th anniversary, it was a testament to the generosity of our community,” said South Muskoka Hospital Foundation Board Chair Dan Brooks, “Thanks to the incredible support of our guests, sponsors, and volunteers, we not only honoured our past, but also strengthened our hospital’s future. The evenings success shows what we can achieve when we come together.”

The Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to all event sponsors, volunteers, and attendees for making the 45th Anniversary of the Foundation such a meaningful and memorable evening.
