The Muskoka Bears saw their 2025–26 season come to an end Thursday night, falling 7–2 to the Orillia Terriers in Game 4 of the Carruthers Division quarterfinal.
The elimination game was played at the MASK Arena – Mnjikaning Sports Complex in Orillia, where the Terriers’ offence proved too much as they closed out the best-of-seven series.
Muskoka struck early with a pair of first-period goals. Sam Litt opened the scoring at 11:03, followed by William Muszynski at 18:02 to briefly keep the Bears within reach. However, Orillia responded with a strong offensive push over the remaining two periods to secure the decisive win.
Despite the playoff exit, the season marked clear progress for the Bears, who doubled their win total from the previous year and remained competitive throughout the campaign. The improvement signals positive momentum for the young roster heading into the offseason.
In a message following the game, the organization expressed appreciation to supporters, sponsors, and volunteers who contributed to the season’s success and helped build a strong atmosphere around the team.
