The Muskoka Small Business Centre (MSBC) is calling on aspiring and established entrepreneurs to apply for the Starter Company Plus program, an opportunity offering hands-on business training, expert mentorship, and funding support to help entrepreneurs start, grow, or buy a small business in Ontario.
The program is designed for individuals who are ready to take their business to the next level and provides a tailored experience to help participants develop critical skills and build sustainable success.
Through the Starter Company Plus program, participants will:
- Receive one-on-one guidance from experienced business advisors;
- Take part in workshops and networking opportunities;
- Learn essential business skills such as budgeting, marketing, and business planning;
- Gain valuable insights from seasoned mentors; and
- Be eligible for a grant of up to $5,000 to support their business goals.
The MSBC has supported local businesses across Muskoka for more than 30 years, offering guidance through the provincially funded Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) program. Managed by the Town of Bracebridge since 2005, MSBC continues to deliver impactful initiatives like Summer Company and Starter Company Plus, alongside personalized business consultations and resources.
Applications close on July 31, and the program runs from late September to December. Entrepreneurs interested in this year’s Starter Company Plus program can learn more about the program and apply online at muskokasmallbusiness.ca/programs or email [email protected].
