From the Town of Bracebridge:
The Muskoka Small Business Centre invites student entrepreneurs to apply for the Summer Company program to support the growth of their summer business. Successful applicants will participate in business training sessions, benefit from guidance and mentorship throughout the summer, and can receive up to $3,000 to support their business venture.
Summer Company has helped dozens of young entrepreneurs in Muskoka to achieve their business dreams including artisanal ice cream, wood fired pizza, custom rugs, mobile mechanic services, boat cleaning services, and much more. The program is open to students between the ages of 15 and 29 that are returning to school. Applications will be received until April 30 and acceptances will be made on an ongoing basis.
The Muskoka Small Business Centre (MSBC) has been serving Muskoka businesses through support from the province of Ontario’s Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) funding for more than 30 years. Since 2005, the Town of Bracebridge has been the managing partner of the provincial SBEC funding for Muskoka, providing financial and operational oversight. The MSBC team serves entrepreneurs across Muskoka through delivering the Summer Company and Starter Company programs, providing personalized business consultations to those starting or expanding a business, and assisting with business registration, business plan development, and more.
