Earlier today representatives from TD Bank Offered an update on the recent closure of the Bala branch.
Representatives from the bank confirmed that the closure is due to staffing issues at the branch.
“We are experiencing a shortage of staff and as a result, will temporarily redeploy our Bala colleagues to support the Gravenhurst branch,” said TD rep Jen Wilson. “Customers in Bala can make in person or virtual appointments in Gravenhurst, Bracebridge or Huntsville during the closure. We continue to encourage customers to bank digitally or via the ATM where possible”
Wilson said the ATM and night deposit in Bala will remain available during the temporary closure. If customers need to access their Safety Deposit boxes in Bala, they can contact the Bracebridge branch (705-645-2266) to arrange an appointment, said Wilson.
“We apologize for the inconvenience and will reopen the Bala branch as soon as possible,” she said.
The closure marks the second time in the past 12 months the TD branch in Bala has been forced to shut its doors due to staffing issues.
