Benches commemorate three murdered Bracebridge women
October 12: Bracebridge will soon have a permanent memorial to three local victims of domestic violence.
On Thursday, Mayor Smith and members of council will be at Annie Williams Park to unveil one of three purple benches installed in Bracebridge to honour and support victims of domestic violence.

Roby Roy II resurrected and ready to sail
June 29: Nearly 100 years after it was scuttled, the Rob Roy II is back and ready to ply the waters of Kahshe Lake.
A replica of a steamboat that worked on Kahshe Lake in the early 1900s, the Rob Roy II will be officially launched at 1059 Witbeck Rd on July 3. A tour of the lake will follow, allowing everyone interested to see it in action.

Gav and Scott raise $51,550 for Enliven with 500km ride
Aug. 10: On Saturday August 7, two amazing individuals headed out onto Muskoka roads to pedal 500km over a 24-hour period. Scott Turnbull and Gavin Hammond decided to challenge themselves with the 500km bike ride after completing a 250km ride last year. The two set big goals for themselves and they realized this was a great opportunity to bring awareness to a local charity and raise funds while completing this outstanding feat.
