Maple Leafs headed for Gravenhurst
October 6: The Toronto Sun is reporting that the Toronto Maple Leafs are on their way to Muskoka to take part in team bonding and practices this week at the Gravenhurst Centennial Centre.
Following the Leafs pre-season match-up last against the Montreal Canadiens, The Sun reported that the Leafs will head to Gravenhurst on Wednesday for a three-day work retreat.

Bracebridge gym ready to rumble in Six Nations
October 1: “The boy’s going down.”
Brent Fitzmaurice might not have a lot of competitive fighting experience but he makes up for it in swagger.
Fitzmaurice is one of nine fighters from Big Country Muskoka headed to Oshweken (located within the Six Nations of the Grand River) this weekend to take on opponents from The Scorpion Combat Gym.

Muskoka Marathon turning heads across the province
Sept. 24: What started out as little more than a whim a year-and-a-half ago is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of Ontario’s marquee running events.
On October 2nd and 3rd the Muskoka Marathon is set to take place in Bracebridge, and it’s likely to draw 1,500 athletes to the area, despite being only the second edition of the event.
