Town closes Carnegie Library parking lot entrance and sidewalk due to falling ice

From the Town of Bracebridge:

Effective immediately, the Town of Bracebridge is temporarily closing the laneway from Manitoba Street to the Carnegie Library Parking Lot that is situated between the historic Carnegie Library building (94 Manitoba Street) and the Service Canada building (98 Manitoba Street) to vehicles and pedestrians. Additionally, the sidewalk leading from the library parking lot to Manitoba Street, located between the library and The Old Station Restaurant (88 Manitoba Street), will also be closed. These measures have been put in place as a precaution due to the risk of falling ice from the buildings. Barricades have been put in place to block the impacted areas.

The community is advised to follow all on-site signage and use alternative entrances and sidewalks until further notice. The public may continue to use the alternate entrance to the library parking lot via Kimberley Avenue.
