From the Town of Gravenhurst:
The Town of Gravenhurst has completed a Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) study for proposed
improvements to the existing stormwater drainage system to reduce the flooding risk in the area of Redwing Drive as
shown below. The preferred solution improvements include:
I. Constructing a new concrete box culvert to convey stormwater from Redwing Drive to Loon Lake to reduce
flooding to private properties in the study area.
II. Construct a new culvert across Redwing Drive at the existing low point of the road.
III. Re-grade the roadside ditches to ensure positive drainage toward the proposed box culvert.
The study considered environmental impacts and proposes mitigation measures.
