United Way Simcoe Muskoka opens applications for Women United Grants

United Way Simcoe Muskoka’s Women United has officially opened applications for the 2025 Women United Grants, inviting organizations serving women and children across Simcoe County, the Town of the Blue Mountains, and the District of Muskoka to apply.

Since its launch in 2015, Women United has invested more than $83,000 into impactful programs that empower women and girls to develop essential skills, achieve financial autonomy, and break the cycles of poverty. The 2025 grant cycle continues this commitment, offering up to $10,000 in total funding to projects that support women and children in one or more of Women United’s three priority pillars:

  1. Nutrition and Food Security
  2. Mental Health
  3. Literacy (traditional, financial, or digital)

“Women United is not just giving money-we’re fueling hope, opportunity, and lasting change in our communities,” said Chantal McNeily, Chair of Women United. “Through these grants, we’re investing in programs that directly support women and children, creating pathways to stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities across the region.”

The application process begins with an online eligibility questionnaire. Eligible organizations will then receive next steps for submitting their proposals.

To support potential applicants, Women United will host three virtual information sessions:

  • Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 12:00pm
  • Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 12:00pm
  • Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:00am

To sign up for any of these information sessions or to apply, please visit https://uwsimcoemuskoka.ca/womenunitedfunding

Applications will remain open until October 13, 2025.
