DESCRIPTION:Spark Muskoka is excited to share that we will be screening\, for the first time in Muskoka\, the Documentary Film “We Lend a Hand: The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes. \nThis documentary film tells the extraordinary story of the 40\,000 young women who volunteered on Canadian farms and helped to win the Second World War. This was an initiative of the Farm Service Force of Ontario. \nFollowing the screening there will be a Q&A with our guests\, Colin T Fields\, who directed and produced the documentary\, along with Bonnie Sitter\, historical producer and the Author of the book “Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz” which the documentary is closely tied to as well as the research behind the book. \n“After 2 years in the making\, the film is ready to be experienced”! \nTickets for the October 19th screenings of We Lend A Hand: The Forgotten Story of Ontario Farmerettes are $30.00  and can be purchased by e-transfer to timberbeastproductions@gmail.com or cash at the door.
