Water bombers combat Parry Sound forest fire

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) is reporting a new forest fire in Muskoka – Parry Sound region.

Parry Sound 9 is estimated at 1.1 ha and is listed as “Being Held,” as of Jun 22 at 4:09 PM.

The MNRF reports that four Twin Otters and a lead Birddog were on the scene of Parry Sound 9 yesterday afternoon, northwest of Pointe Au Baril, supporting Fire Rangers on the ground. If you are out on the water & see the waterbombers, move to the shore to give them ample room.
