Photo from the Old Ontario Series.

Dunn’s Pavilion in Bala was converted into a concert hall in the summer of 1942. The venue saw such notable acts as Cab Calloway, the Dorsey Brothers and Duke Ellington in its early years. Renamed the Kee to Bala in the 1960s, it continues to draw some of the biggest names in music from Drake and Snoop Dog, to Rush and Blue Rodeo.
