Muskoka Sands, now part of Taboo Muskoka Resort & Golf, located on Lake Muskoka, started as the Muskoka Beach Inn in 1926, evolving after a 1959 fire into the Muskoka Sands Inn, and later becoming the core of the modern Taboo resort under the Great Gulf Group.
