Wayback Wednesday: Propellor view of the RMS Segwun

This photo comes from the Muskoka Steamships & Discovery Centre.

The cpation reads:

“A view of the RMS Segwun that you don’t see every day!

By 1924, the Muskoka Lakes Navigation Company realized that the six steamers that were then serving the lakes were becoming insufficient to accommodate the thousands of visitors that flocked to the region. The SS Nipissing, a side paddle-wheeler, was converted to the twin propeller steamship and christened “Segwun” with her inaugural cruise on July 9, 1925!”
