Segwun and Sagamo in retirement at the dock in Gravenhurst.
Muskoka’s steamship heritage is older than Canada. The first ship steamed Lake Muskoka in 1866. In 2017, Gravenhurst marked the RMS Segwun’s 130 year history. She is North America’s oldest operating mail steamship.
The RMS Sagamo built in 1906 ran until 1958, being the largest ship of the Muskoka Lakes Navigation Company.
