What’s on in Bracebridge this holiday season?

Due to the holidays, hours of operation for Town services and facilities will vary. Please refer to the chart for details.



Bracebridge Fire
Bracebridge Fire Station 1 will be closed to the public on Monday, December 26 and Tuesday, December 27 in lieu of Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and Monday, January 2, 2023 in lieu of New Year’s Day.

In the event of an emergency, please call 9-1-1. Residents are encouraged to download the Voyent Alert App to receive updates and notifications right to their mobile device in the event of an emergency. Users can also create multiple alerts depending on location and members of the household.

Bracebridge Library
There is no shortage of fun for all ages at the Bracebridge Library during the holidays including Creator Club, Baby Time Wigglers, Pajama Storytime and more! Drop-in on December 22 for the Christmas Pajama Storytime from 6:30 to 7 pm and enjoy holiday classics like The Night Before Christmas and more to celebrate the season.

Starting January 9, 2023, put your creative skills to the test with the bookmark design contest. In honour of Family Literacy Day, the Bracebridge Library is seeking a new design for its library bookmark. Pick up a template and submit your design by Friday, January 20, 2023. The winner will be announced on Family Literacy Day, January 27, 2023.

Recreation
The Bracebridge Sportsplex and Memorial Arena will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day and will have modified hours during the holidays.

FREE activities at the Sportsplex
Looking to get moving after that holiday feast or try something new? All public swimming, public skating and indoor climbing is free from Friday, December 23 until January 8, 2023, thanks to the generous support of B&W TrailersCavalcade Ford and Kubota North.

Transit
Bracebridge Transit and Bracebridge Mobility will not operate on the following days:

  • Sunday, December 25 – Christmas Day
  • Monday, December 26 – Boxing Day

  • Sunday, January 1, 2023 – New Year’s Day
  • Monday, January 2, 2023 – in lieu of New Year’s Day

Celebrate the New Year at the Rene M. Caisse Memorial Theatre
