Over 150 YWCA Muskoka supporters gathered on International Women’s Day to celebrate the 19th Women of Distinction Awards Gala- prestigious nation-wide signature YWCA fundraising event to recognize the accomplishments of women.
Over $33,000 was raised to support YWCA Muskoka’s educational, advocacy and leadership work.
Award recipients were (left to right): Tracy Nickles, Transforming Community; Britney Hammell, Young Woman of Distinction; Gayle Dempsey, Arts, Culture and Creativity; Sarah Roberts, Health, Sports, and Wellness; Leslie Tempest, Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Beth Ward, Lifetime Achievement.
