Muskoka Arts & Crafts and Craft Ontario unite for the 2nd Annual Partnership Exhibition

In a celebration of creativity and craftsmanship, Muskoka Arts & Crafts (MA&C) and Craft Ontario announced their collaboration for the 2nd Annual Partnership Exhibition, highlighting the exceptional craft talent flourishing in Muskoka.

The event took place on August 27 and 28, featuring a diverse array of artistic works curated by representatives from Craft Ontario. The exhibition served as a tribute to not only the artistry but also the vibrant community that supports these talented creators.

During the opening reception, awards were presented to outstanding artists, granting them exclusive recognition and unique opportunities. Notably, the winners will have the chance to exhibit their works at Craft Ontario’s Queen Street gallery in Toronto in November 2025.

Craft Ontario, a member-driven non-profit organization, is committed to enhancing professional craft through various platforms, including exhibitions, education, retail, and advocacy. Their programs are designed to empower artists at every stage of their careers and promote craft across Canada.

Attendees of the event enjoyed a unique kombucha experience provided by Wicked Brew and had the opportunity to extend their stay, thanks to community sponsor Tru by Hilton.

The celebration of culture and creativity continued with the announcement of this year’s award recipients. Andrew Mason was recognized for his stunning “Maple Burl Vase,” while Dale Tomlinson received an award for “Shenanigans #24.”

“This exhibition is more than a showcase of extraordinary talent—it is a testament to the power of partnerships. When organizations like ours come together, we multiply our strengths, share ideas, broaden our reach, and most importantly, support artists in more meaningful ways. Collaboration in the non-profit arts sector is vital. It allows us to dream bigger, do better, and create a lasting impact for the communities we serve,” stated Nichole Kitchen, Executive Director of Muskoka Arts & Crafts.
