Art Fx: Sienna Stallion by Jenn Hampson

“Sienna Stallion” – 2021, acrylic on canvas.

“I have a bit of a healthy fear of horses due to their enormous stature and my very small one. They are imposing, yet there is no denying their beauty.”

“I am passionate about creating in order fulfill a sense of harmony. I prefer to work off-the-cuff, as I feel that the output is raw and true to self. Growing up in a bustling city reinforced my frenetic abstract work. Since moving to Muskoka, over a decade ago, I have embraced the landscape and slightly slower pace – how could you not? I paint in my home “studio”, usually surrounded by loving pups that just will not take a hint and stay on the couch.”
