In loving memory of Uncle Jack
Jack Timleck passed away at Huntsville Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with pneumonia. He loved life and fought hard to stay here with us but sadly on January 5th, 2024, at 2:32 AM he passed on to the spirit world where he joins his parents Thelma Timleck and Bruce Tuck.
He is survived by his siblings Barb Deming (Dave), Ann Hackman (Bill), Lydia Horsfall, Rose Farruglia (Ben), Bruce Tuck (Vanessa), Gladys Burt (Michael), Eric Tuck (Cindy) and Mary Tuck. He is also survived by his loved one he called mom, Bernice MacLeod. Leaving behind and deeply missed by his niece Amanda Dale-St Pierre and nephew Strength Of Two Buffalo Dale, their children Kay Lee St Pierre (Spencer, Edan, Henley), Jacob (Jess), Jasmin, Kai, and last but never least on his mind Jaden.
Arthur John Timleck (aka Tuck) was an overcomer of Huronia Regional Centre, located in Orillia, and was the only youth to successfully escape the institution where he and many of his peers experienced well-documented abuses. He recently participated in interviews with Katherine Viscardis PhD, about his experiences at Huronia Institute and you can find the book soon at a local post-secondary institution. He will be missed by his peers and girlfriend Carrieanne Thomkins.
Arthur was always a very hard worker and since childhood served as a farm hand, worked many factory positions, and held a long-term job with Bicks Pickles in Dunnville ON. At 77 years old, Jack recently became a loved and respected team member at Metro in Huntsville prior to his sudden departure. Special thank you to Mel Dixon who shared many last moments with Jack in hospital and continues supporting his loved ones. The metro staff for their kind flowers and support. Uncle Jack was referred to as “Happy Pappy” by those who loved him at work. He will be remembered for his big smile, kind heart, and willingness to help. Uncle Jack continues to live in our memories along with all the funny stories he left behind for us to share.
We will be celebrating Uncle Jack’s life and memory with a traditional Onkwehonweh (Mohawk) Ceremony at Golden Lake on Yearly Road this coming Spring. You can reach out to Amanda Dale for more information at 905-975-6423. A feast reception will be held at his home on 85 acres in Utterson ON the same day. For those who can travel his funeral services will be held at L.G. Wallace Funeral Home, 151 Ottawa Street North, Hamilton Saturday, January 27th, 2024, with a showing at 9:30 am – 11:00 am, followed by a service at 11:00 am at the same location. Cremation to follow and burial to take place at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, West Hamilton. In lieu of flowers please send donations to his niece’s education.
