Each month South Muskoka Doppler highlights a student in the co-op programs at both Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School (BMLSS) and Gravenhurst High School (GHS).
The December students of the month for BMLSS are Jackson Ferguson and Alfie Napper.
Jackson and Alfie are Co-op students at BMLSS. Both are working with the Town of Bracebridge. Jackson is working in the Corporate Services Department with the By-Law Enforcement Branch learning about the day-to-day operations required to be an Officer. He spends his days investigating complaints of By-Law infractions including site visits, witness interviews, consultation with property owners, and once in a while chasing coyotes!
Alfie is getting the opportunity to experience what it takes to be a firefighter; a job that he is passionate about. He gets to suit up and go on fire calls to observe what it takes to be a firefighter. He hopes to join the Bracebridge Fire Department in the New Year as a volunteer when he turns 18.
We are so fortunate to have these opportunities available and offered to our BMLSS students through the Town of Bracebridge.
