Broken down car leads to weapons and drug charges

Bracebridge OPP officers were conducting general patrol when they observed a broken-down vehicle on Talisman Drive in the Town of Gravenhurst.

Police subsequently arrested and charged 39-year-old Steven Brennan of Barrie with Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking CDSA (52), Possession of Schedule 1 Substance CDSA 4(1) and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose CC 88. He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on July 5, 2022 to answer to his charges.

Police have also charged 35 year-old Andrew Ward of Huntsville with Possession of Schedule 1 Substance CDSA 4(1) and Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose CC 88. The accused remains in custody and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge today for a bail hearing.
