Buds by Cannilux announces donation for veterans

By Doppler Online On October 31, 2022 Community

The team from Buds by Cannilux in Gravenhurst is getting set to make an announcement tomorrow in support of Canadian veterans.

Mayor-Elect Heidi Lorenz and members of council will be on hand tomorrow at 4:15 pm at Buds by Cannilux for a charitable donation announcement to Veterans House.

Buds by Cannilux is donating a portion of this year’s profit to Veterans House as an ongoing effort to support the 4-pillar program of rehabilitation and reintegration of wounded warriors.

Veteran House’s purpose is to promote quality peer support for veterans. They do this by providing guidance, ongoing support, and mentorship to veteran’s mental health non-profit organizations, and through providing information and resources to Veterans and health care providers.

Buds opened their shop on Jan. 31, 2022 on Muskoka Road in Gravenhurst with a pledge to donate %5 of their profit to Veterans House.

I commend Bud’s on their generous donation to Veteran’s housing. It is a very worthwhile charity. It is good to see a business giving back to those men and women who sacrificed so much.
