A Huntsville man originally charged with a range of offences including assault with a weapon and dangerous operation had most of his charges withdrawn in a Bracebridge courtroom recently.
Miltiadis Petropulos (aka Mike Peters), 57, entered into a six-month peace bond and paid an $85 fine for unlawfully yielding the right of way.
According to a police report, on June 2, 2023, officers responded to an altercation in a parking lot on John Street in Huntsville. As a result of the investigation, Petropulos was charged with two counts of assault, assault with a weapon and dangerous operation.
As part of the court appearance, Petropulos admitted no civil or criminal responsibility in the matter and the original charges were withdrawn at the request of the Crown.
As part of the peace bond, Petropulos must stay away from certain individuals, possess no weapons, keep the peace and be of good behaviour or he will forfeit the $1,000 bond.
