The Bracebridge Planning and Development Committee will consider whether to rezone a property in north Bracebridge to allow for a new subdivision.
The rezoning is required to facilitate the development of an 11-lot subdivision with three lots accessed by Red Pine Trail and the remaining eight by a Common Element Condominium road off the end of Red Pine Trail. Red Pine Trail is off Stephenson Road 1, east of Highway 11.
According to a staff report, the property is approximately 22.79 hectares (56.3 acres) in area with approximately 305 metres (1,000 feet) of frontage on Red Pine Trail and 554 metres (1,818 feet) of frontage on the Muskoka River. The property is currently vacant and predominantly in a natural state.
Town staff say the draft plan of subdivision and condominium approval conform to both the Town’s and District’s Official Plan, and are consistent with the Provincial Policy Statement.
The committee will make its decision at its next meeting on Nov. 8 at 2:30 p.m.
