Financial application opens to help send a kid to summer camp

Summer camp is a wonderful opportunity for kids to make new friends, have new experiences, be outside in the natural world and to build skills and self-esteem that will carry over into all aspects of their lives.

The Children’s Foundation of Muskoka (CFM) is entering into their 5th year of supporting Muskoka kids to attend Muskoka camps and local summer programs when they might not have had the opportunity due to financial barriers. With the support of the Rizzuto family, the Toni Lynn Rizzuto Campership Fund has to date supported over 240 kids to attend both day and residential camps and summer programs.

The campership fund will provide up to $500 for 1 week of day camp or a summer program or $1000 towards residential camp for a local child. A list of camps and summer program opportunities are available on the Children’s Foundation website as well as the application form here.

Apply early as summer programs fill quickly! For more information and funding requirements, go to the CFM website or call 705-641-9455.
